Wishlist Wednesday (3)
Wishlist Wednesday is a meme hosted by Pen to Paper.
A long a time ago in middle school, I read a book that I really enjoyed. However, I seemed to have forgotten the title or the book has vanished off the face of the planet. For some reason I believe the title to be Spellbound and I remember the cover having a dark green leaves on it, the imagine might have been of a character in a forest. Anyway, for a long time whenever I would look for a book titled Spellbound nothing would come up. That is until... 2011, when Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz came out. Though obviously not the book I read back in middle school (the closest I've come to possibly finding that book is Into the Land of Unicorns which I'm not really sure is it, the search continues!), the book sounds interesting on it's own nonetheless. And, has been on my wishlist since I first stumbled upon it on accident.
Description (from Goodreads): What's a girl to do when meeting The One means she's cursed to die a horrible death?
Life hasn't been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Connor, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she's irresistibly drawn toBrendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight.
But even when Brendan inexplicably turns cold, Emma can't stop staring. Ever since she laid eyes on him, strange things have been happening. Streetlamps go out wherever she walks, and Emma's been having the oddest dreams: visions of herself in past livesvisions that warn her to stay away from Brendan. Or else.
